La Roche Posay Make Up Remover Milk Review

I got this in a set for my Birthday all the way back in December and started using it over a month ago. I have to say I was excited when I seen this as I had heard amazing things but never tried it.

IMG_4503[1]

La Roche Posy products are all  soap-free, no parabens, alcohol-free and colourant-free they also follow a strict formulations standards: 100% hypoallergenic skincare, Non-comedogenic ,High concentration of selected ingredients and with Thermal Spring Water, minimal ingredients and fragrance, tested on the most sensitive skin.
I love the sound of all this as my skin is somewhat sensitive me and toner do not get on and if there is alcohol in it, it will sting my skin.

The application is a little different to the way I normally cleanse my skin. I pump a small amount on to my hand a little does go along way with this product and start massaging it into my skin it feels amazing. Also it removes mascara and it doesn’t sting my eyes at all.  I than remove it with cotton wool and rinse my face.

My skin feels so soft afterword’s and is shining, I love this product and will be rebuying. My skin feels and looks healthier since I started using it and I feel it really helps with my dehydration.

Its Priced at €16.49/£12.00 from boots

Coconut Oil for your skin

I decided to try using coconut oil to remove my make-up in the evening.

IMG_4243[1]

First of all when I say the word oil its more of a hard oil that melts as soon as it touches your hands.

IMG_4245[1]

I slowly begin to massage it into my skin which I have to say is a lovely feeling and you can also use it on your eyes,I than use some cotton wool to remove my make up afterwords my face is shinning and very soft. I wouldnt suggest using this in the morning as to me the shine on my skin is a bit much.

I decided to try this as coconut oil as its naturally antibacterial, antifungal and  moisturizing and its nice giving my skin a break from my normal cleanser and toner.

Also I don’t suffer with spots, I would be careful if you do as this might not help, I think its very important to know everyones skin is different just because it suits mine doesn’t mean it will suit yours.

Also I have read this is amazing as a hairmask but coconut oil goes hard when its in water. I did not know this and can cause issues with your drian so be careful a friend of mine was in big trouble fro her husband as she was using this in the shower all the time and her shower got blocked.

Mac Ruby Woo Lipstick and Lip Pencil

This is gonna surprise anyone who knows me I have never owned a mac lipstick in my life I just always grabbed one in boots but two weeks ago I turned thirty and I decided to get my make up professional done in salon and a week before, I spoke to the girl who was going to do my make-up and asked her what colour she suggested straight away she said mac ruby woo lipstick and lip pencil.

image

So I headed into Brown Thomas which is an Irish version of hervey Nichole’s but I think brown Thomas would prefer to be called Irish harrods but that’s really never gonna happen not gonna lie I’m not a big fan of Brown Thomas I’m not sure why.

I managed to pick up the lipstick €20 and lip pencil €17 with out to much hassle which was surprising as the place was so busy.

image

image

Of course I did wear it before my party for a night out and I loved the colour it’s the perfect red but that night I was disappointed by the staying power now I did have food and drink so I’m not sure what I was expecting.

image

So the night of party the girl who done my make-up put layers and layers on which I have since done and it has now got the staying power I wanted from a lipstick  I have to say I will be buying more mac.

Sleek Barekissed Illuminator Review

Gone are the days when you would just use foundation abit of powder and some blush now it’s all about countering and highlighting.

I started using Sleek Barekissed Illuminator a few months ago I have to say I was excited about trying these highlighters out I decided to go with Monaco and Pompeii they are priced at €13.49/£9.99 .

Packaging

I love nice packaging and the Sleek Barekissed Illuminator is impressive for the price it’s a gloss bottle with an easy to use pump which stops you from going a bit OTT as a little goes a long way.

Monaco

IMG_1646[1]

Monaco is perfect for pale skin and there is no trace off glitter which I love and it leaves an amazing glow to your skin. I used this the way I would when countering my face so under my eyes, forehead. Nose and chin where you want the light to hit your face.

IMG_1644[1]

Pompeii

IMG_1645[1]

Pompeii is a little scary looking and I was nervous using this when I had no fake tan on but again I used it under my cheekbones and on my jawline and then blended and it looked amazing.

IMG_1643[1]

How to apply

How to apply, I have used it two ways the first is applying it straight to your skin and using a brush to do this and then blending with foundation.
At the moment I am applying my foundation first and then applying the sleek Illuminator and then blending with a sponge and I prefer this way you can also mix to into your foundation which I haven’t tried yet.

This is one product I will be repurchasing and I have to say it lasts a little goes along way I don’t use it every day as I don’t have the time but at weekend I would always use it including in the day to give my skin an added pop.

Wet n wild lipstick

I picked this wet n wild cherry bomb lipstick a few week ago in Primark its a matte lipstick and  as soon as I seen this colour I knew I had to have it, it is dark berry red and more of a winter colour but I just love it and we haven’t been getting much of a summer in Ireland so to me this is perfect.

This is not a lipstick you would wear during the day to me its a lipstick to wear at night with LBD and I would apply a balm to my lips before because if you have dry lips it will be very noticeably and the staying power is amazing.

I lost the recipt but I think it is priced at €2.99 but for under €5 you really can’t go wrong

My Saturday Style And The Script

On Saturday I want to see The Script in Croke Park all week I have been praying that it wouldnt rain and thank god my prayers wore answered as I decided to get my make-up and hair done as we wore making a night of it.

My hairdresser decided to do something a bit different and pop rollers into my hair and I have to say I really love how full my hair looked my makeup was very full on I did feel a bit drag queen but I got used to it.

IMG_5012 IMG_5010

As for the outfit I decided to wear a midi black dress and unicorn bag  I picked up in the New Look sale and the long kimono and shoes are from from Primark/Penneys.

IMG_5030

I met my friend Becky in Connolly train station and walked down to Croke Park stopping for a few drinks on the way and atmosphare was amazing we arrived just on time to see Pharrell Williams who as always was amazing he got the crowd going and sang his new and old songs and even got a load of children on stage dancing to Happy.

IMG_5033

Than it was time for the The Script what an entrance they walked through the crowds with green flags coming for everywhere it was amazing entrance they sang all the songs you wanted them to and were amazing with the crowd. My favourite moment was when they moved to a smaller stage right in the middle of the crowd and sang The Man Can’t be moved and in very touching moment they dedicated If You Could See Me Now to the families of the Berkeley Tragedy.
