Valentines Day Style

I’m single, yet again this year but I actually love Valentine’s Day. I work in the city centre and I love seeing people walking around with flower and even balloons, it always makes me smile.

On valentines days, I think it’s a nice to add something red into your outfit. Now it doesn’t have to be a red dress it could be a handbag or even a red lip.

Here are my Valentines inspired picks.

If you are brave enough to go with the red dress.

River island have an amazing wrap dress €80. Click here to buy

Zara also have a an amazing wrap dress with a sexy split €49.95 click here to buy

If you are not a dress fan perhaps a red top, Penney’s/Primark have an amazing animal print top for €8, just add black jeans, black over sized blazer and heels, you are sorted.

If animal print isn’t your thing, how about a Zara polka dot blouse €19.95 click here to buy.

If you are looking for a small splash of red, what about a handbag.

The bag I picked, it’s a little different but I love it, it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day its from Penney’s/Primark €10.

A big trend this year, is a belt bag and this bag is also perfect for Valentine’s Day €19.95 Click here to buy

As for a red lip, I love Mac ruby woo lipstick and lip pencil. It’s perfect red for Valentine’s Day. The lip duo is €34.95 Click here to buy

Hope everyone has an amazing Valentine’s Day.

Lots of love

Look Fantastic December Beauty Box

I’ve been getting the Look Fantastic beauty box, for the last 5 months and I have been really enjoying it.

Each month you receive 6 make up and skin care products for €17 this includes postage, of course it’s a beauty box so some of the products our mini sizes which doesn’t bother me as they last ages.

Illamaqua Hydra Veil – Mini 7ml, primer and perfect for party season, it’s priced at £6.80 for a 7ml and small amount goes along way.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 10ml lavender, chamomile and vetiver infused pillow spray it helps you to get a relaxing sleep. Lightly spray on pillow and relax it’s priced at £7 for 10ml

Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox 50ml, this detox’s and exfoliates your scalp and helps stop product build up. I’ve used this before and it felt a little strange at the start but I liked it and it also has cooling effect on your scalp which feels lovely. Priced at £6.49 for 50ml.

Karl Lagerfeld -ModelCO Brow Pencil full-size product, I’m lucky as this is a dark shade as my brows our dark but of you have light brows this would be annoying it’s priced at €22.

Exclusive lookfantastic Beauty Sponge, I was happy to see this as I needed a new makeup sponge. I’m not sure of the price as they only seem to include them in beauty boxes.

Dr Botanicals Apothecary Pomegranate Superfood Brightening Eye Serum 15ml, again this is a full size product and something I needed. It helps with puffy tires eyes. Its infused with Pomegranate Extract, the serum delivers a potent dose of antioxidant activity to the delicate tissue surrounding the eyes, smoothing and brightening for radiant-looking skin. This all sounds perfect to me. It’s priced at €21.95

Posted in My week, What I Wore

My Week

My week has turned into my last two weeks as always I seem to get a little lazy.
The first week was all about food, all I seemed to be doing was eating.

Monday I met with a friend for lunch. We went to the church bar I had the pulled beef brisket sandwich with fries, it as nice but messy.

img_97101

Than that evening I decided to call into off beat donuts on Georges Quay  and got two donuts, carmel toffee ring and a white coffee donut. They wore both nice but I did prefer the coffee one more.

img_97121

This weeks nails wore No 7 gel finish, I got this in the No7 set I got for Christmas. I am very impressed with this nail polish it didn’t chip and had a nice finish.

img_97071

The 52 book challanage is still going strong last week was book 4 of 52. Finally a book I really enjoyed, The Associate by John Grisham again I picked this up in a charity shop for €3. The main charcater is Kyle McAvoy he is legal student one of the top legal student’s in the country and is blackmailed into taken a job most law students would dream of doing except this was not Kyle’s dream. I didn’t want to like Kyle at the start but he was one of the good guy’s, Also the ending I just wanted more, I wanted to know what happened with his life.

On Sunday I cooked first ever roast dinner, and it was nice and I managed not to burn the house down.

The secound week, I didn’t really get up to much mid week, but my new skin care products arrived from The Ordinary.
I am going to do a quick post hopefully this week and than a real review in about months time to let you know how I am getting on.

img_98131

Saturday was all about hair and make-up as I was heading out. I wore my new dress from Penneys, which was abit to low cut for my liking, I felt it was a little to much so next time I will be putting a black cami top under it.

The night didn’t go very well as I got very ill it was’t the drink, as I didn’t even get to finish my first drink and had to leave but I did feel fab before I was ill.

The Perfect Travel Make-Up Bag

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect make-up travel bag, now be warned I’m someone who hates traveling light and brings everything.

I knew what I wanted which was a bag that opens with clear plastic pockets, that could fit eyeshadow palette in with no issue’s.

I have been looking around for a while and of course Penneys/Primark stocked the perfect one priced at €7.

img_87221

Its a slogan make-up bag with, IS IT FRIDAY YET? which  to me is perfect slogan. It has two large clear pockets and two small pockets perfect for brushes.

IMG_8723[1].JPG

I used the make-up back for my last holiday with the girls and it was perfect it fitted everything in one place.

As you can see, I can fit everything in one place.

Life Update

I really need to push myself to do this weekly, as I just keep forgetting about it.

I can’t believe its August already and summer is nearly over, I have to admit I prefer winter. I know but Irish summers are so strange one minute it’s to warm, cold, raining, dry, hot again you don’t know what to be wearing lol.

Let’s start with my nails, I got this nail polish yonks ago but love this bright colour its Rimmel London 105 you had me at hello, I even love the name.

IMG_5795[1]

Products I have picked up and plan on reviewing which I never seem to do but will soon, I am going to try and be more organised with blogging and life.

NYX Epic black mousse Liner

IMG_5700[1]

PS LOVE this Foundation Brush

IMG_5748[1]

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil

IMG_5853[1]

On Saturday I got my hair done and I have been so good my hair hasn’t been near a GHD in about 2 months now, I did get a curly blow dry from my hair dressers but once a month is ok.
Also loving snapchat filters.

IMG_5856[1]

I also went to my favourite steak place FX Buckley in Temple bar it was so good and I even had a glass of red wine, I’m not a red wine fan but it was nice but just one glass is enough.

This month I plan on being more organised so I am starting a bullet Journal so any tips to help me be more organised, please let me know.

La Roche Posay Make Up Remover Milk Review

I got this in a set for my Birthday all the way back in December and started using it over a month ago. I have to say I was excited when I seen this as I had heard amazing things but never tried it.

IMG_4503[1]

La Roche Posy products are all  soap-free, no parabens, alcohol-free and colourant-free they also follow a strict formulations standards: 100% hypoallergenic skincare, Non-comedogenic ,High concentration of selected ingredients and with Thermal Spring Water, minimal ingredients and fragrance, tested on the most sensitive skin.
I love the sound of all this as my skin is somewhat sensitive me and toner do not get on and if there is alcohol in it, it will sting my skin.

The application is a little different to the way I normally cleanse my skin. I pump a small amount on to my hand a little does go along way with this product and start massaging it into my skin it feels amazing. Also it removes mascara and it doesn’t sting my eyes at all.  I than remove it with cotton wool and rinse my face.

My skin feels so soft afterword’s and is shining, I love this product and will be rebuying. My skin feels and looks healthier since I started using it and I feel it really helps with my dehydration.

Its Priced at €16.49/£12.00 from boots

Coconut Oil for your skin

I decided to try using coconut oil to remove my make-up in the evening.

IMG_4243[1]

First of all when I say the word oil its more of a hard oil that melts as soon as it touches your hands.

IMG_4245[1]

I slowly begin to massage it into my skin which I have to say is a lovely feeling and you can also use it on your eyes,I than use some cotton wool to remove my make up afterwords my face is shinning and very soft. I wouldnt suggest using this in the morning as to me the shine on my skin is a bit much.

I decided to try this as coconut oil as its naturally antibacterial, antifungal and  moisturizing and its nice giving my skin a break from my normal cleanser and toner.

Also I don’t suffer with spots, I would be careful if you do as this might not help, I think its very important to know everyones skin is different just because it suits mine doesn’t mean it will suit yours.

Also I have read this is amazing as a hairmask but coconut oil goes hard when its in water. I did not know this and can cause issues with your drian so be careful a friend of mine was in big trouble fro her husband as she was using this in the shower all the time and her shower got blocked.

Lots of love
