I have decided to start writing about places to go in Dublin as Dublin is an amazing city with loads to do and I just had to tell you about this restaurant Corfu on Parliament Street just off temple bar we went here on the 15th February for a family meal for about 35 of us.
The restaurant is a Greek restaurant which I have never been before we wore greeted warmly by the staff who really couldn’t do enough for us I had the meatballs to start with and they wore lovely I also had a try of the bruschetta which I loved.
Mains I had Pastichio which is an oven cooked dish with baked layers of pasta sautéed mince beef and kefalotyri cheese topped with homemade bechamel sauce again I did try a few other dishes the Greek style burger was lovely but the spaghetti bolognese was so nice I wish I ordered it I kept robbing some on my brother and for desert I had a lovely chocolate cake.
The whole day went perfect the staff wore amazing we had three younger children with us an 11, 7 and 4 year old the staff wore great with them and couldn’t do enough all the adults dinner plates came out hot but the children’s plates wore cold and as we wore leaving the kids wore given the valentines day balloons I admit the 11 year old did not want them but the other 2 were delighted also they didn’t mind us bringing our own birthday cakes as my cousin baked both cakes.
So if you are in Dublin you need to check Corfu Restaurant out there facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/corfugreekrestaurant and they have a great deal at the moment 4 course meal for €20.95 so if your Dublin for hens, stags, date weekend or family holiday Corfu restaurant is right beside temple bar so perfect place to go before you hit the pubs or just go for a walk around temple bar to see what the fuss is all about.
