I have been on the look out for a good body scrub, that would remove stubborn fake tan and also prepare my skin for tanning.
At the start of December, I went to Kildare village (outlet) for the day. I knew there was a Rituals there and I had never used there products, but had heard good things. Now one annoying thing about buying it in Kildare Village, you have to buy a minimum of two products per purchase.
All Ritual products our parabens free and they do not test on animals, more importantly this body scrub is 100% free of plastic scrub microbeads. Which means it doesn’t cause a risk to marine life.
When buying, I went for the packaging I liked the most. As they have different collections, I went for the dark red, which is the The Ritual of Ayurveda this is an ancient wisdom from India that helps you to improve health and well-being.
The body scrub contains ancient crystal salt from the Himalayas, which is what you want when you are trying to remove two layers of fake tan. Also salt is a natural anti bacterial, so when buying a body scrub make sure it has salt in it. I also find when I use a body scrub, my skin is always left feeling dry and tight but after using this my skin felt hydrated, which is thanks to the sweet almond oil which also great for unblocking pores. Even after showering you can still feel the oil on your skin.
The scent, which for me is important in a product. I like a strong scent and this didn’t disappoint but it wasn’t over powering and even a few hours later I could still smell it on my skin.
Now the main question did it remove the tan, yes it did.
Price point, €19.50 so let’s be honest for a body scrub it is expensive. I got it in the outlet and it was very reasonable, of course I lost the receipt. As I said before it was a minimum of two purchases, I also got a shampoo and conditioner which I will do a review on soon and that came to €26.95 which works out just under €9.00 which is a great price. So when I run out, I will definitely be heading back to Kildare village.
Lots of love
